CT performs in dance spectacular
After months of slamming, popping, tapping, twirling and pirouetting, SkyHD television programme, Got to Dance, came to a stunning conclusion with dance duo Chris Donnelly and Wes Clack, taking home the winners trophy and the £250,000 first prize.
The show, presented by Davina McCall and judged by dancer and actor, Adam Garcia, Pussy Cat Doll Kimberley Wyatt and Diversity’s Ashley Banjo and broadcast from Pinewood Studios, was once again ably supported by audio visual specialists Creative Technology (CT). CT delivered a wide array of glittering visual solutions contributing to the spectacular show, highlighting and emphasising the talent that Got to Dance presented to both the studio audience and to those watching at home.
For the series of finals televised at Pinewood Studios CT provided a vast 10m x 6m backdrop Flyer 12mm LED screen, flanked on each side by five columns of two panels wide by six panels high of Spider 30mm. With 400 MiStrips located within the stage and dance floor, the set designed by renowned designer Florian Wieder, truly came to life, ignited by the passion of the dancers.
The Grand Finale moved from Pinewood to Olympia where a far grander set was constructed for the 6000 strong audience. With this in mind CT provided a huge 24m x 13m Spider 30mm LED screen, the same MiStrip stage floor but the set this time was topped off by a tremendous jawdropping chandelier elegantly created with over 4000 voxel’s of NOVA.
With the television audience figures of over a million Sky1 viewers, the Princess Productions show climbed to a series high for its grand finale, when duo Chris and Wes's victory on the reality show was seen by 1.19m.
