CT’s big projection for Channel 4's Celebrity Big Brother
The much feted and final series of Celebrity Big Brother kicked off in January with the party atmosphere one has come to expect from Channel 4’s celebrity trademark reality television programme.
2010’s housewarming party saw 12 new housemates welcomed by presenter Davina McCall amidst hoards of fans, fireworks and music. To complete the reception, Creative Technology supplied full projection that swathed the exterior of the house, complementing the celebratory theme and emulating the newly refurbished interior of the house.
Utilising six Barco 20,000 lumen FLM projectors fed by Vista Spyder processors and soft edge blended to create one stunning image across the house, Creative Technology once again pulled out all the stops to deliver a fantastic opening night.
But CT didn’t stop there. For the eviction nights throughout the four-week stint, a Mitsubishi outdoor LED screen was also supplied for the exterior’s audience to clearly see the reactions of those asked to leave the house. Davina’s studio set up for the post house interviews with the evictees was also equipped by CT’s indoor Barco 6mm LED screens, enhanced and completed with MiStrip.
2010’s Celebrity Big Brother features twelve contestants living in the Big Brother house, trying to avoid eviction by the public with the aim of being the last person remaining. The winner takes home a large cash prize to be donated to the celebrity’s nominated charity. Using the same house and presenters as the non-celebrity version of the most recent series, the time length of the show is shorter than a normal Big Brother UK series, in this case a run of just four weeks. This run is expected to be the last ever series of Celebrity Big Brother in the UK with the summer’s non-celebrity franchise also ending later this year.
